Farm Stay At Harry's Place offers self catering accommodation on a guest farm in probably the best part of Memel in the Eastern Free State.
Wake up to the peaceful sounds of the farm in a beautiful old fashioned, English sandstone Guesthouse.
Enjoy quiet and tranquility on this farm between the mountains with wonderful and magnificent views from beautiful sunsets to clear starlit skies. Also very private, with a lush garden to relax and unwind.
Enjoy our warm welcoming in a clean, fully equipped self- catering house. Sleeps up to 10, with 5 beautiful spacious bedrooms.
Kitchen also fully equipped with a fireplace, gas stove, microwave oven and dishwasher.
There are a variety of things to do including:
- Mountain biking or dirt biking on our gravel roads.
- Enjoy amazing farm walks.
- Wide variety of birdlife. Up to 130 species of birds to see
- Walk in the game camp, and enjoy species like Rooihartebees, Zebra, Swartwildebees and Blesbok.
- Come and relax with NO cellphone reception, NO WiFi and NO TV. (We have cellphone reception on the mountain that is 1km from house and on the gravel road 3km to cellphone reception).
- Just 3 hours drive from JHB.

Terms & Conditions
- The property (you) must offer the 15% saving to all verified members
- Verification is done automatically at the time of an enquiry. It is at the property’s discretion whether to offer the saving for a telephonic enquiry. (As you have no means to verify the membership number, it is advisable to get them to do a formal enquiry so they can be verified).
- If the property is currently running a "Special" greater than 15% then the "Special" price will apply. (No further savings needs to be offered). EXCEPT in the case where the "Special" is lower than 15%. In that case the 15% will apply.
Example: A property offering a 10% discount, must offer an additional 5% discount to valid members - so they get a total 15% saving. - The property must offer valid members the saving all year round. (Properties that pick and chose in which seasons to participate run the risk of being removed from the programme completely. Allowing selective participation defeats the integrity of this initiative).
- The property must not inflate the price before the 15% is applied. Prices displayed should be the rack rate. (The official or advertised price of a room).
- The property must honour any bookings made while the property was participating as a $elect Stays property.
- The property must honour the agreement and the spirit in which the initiative is designed to benefit local tourism.
